The Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture (MCGALA) has held its second Youth Science Popularization and Explanation Competition in 2024, providing a platform for countless young people who love gardens and science communication to showcase themselves and acquire knowledge. They have gathered from all directions and will shoulder the responsibility of future ambassadors of garden culture with their immature shoulders.

The final of the 2nd Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture (MCGALA) Youth Science Popularization and Explanation Competition on August 5th has come to an end.

Professor Shi Dongqing, a science popularization expert in China and Beijing Association for Science and Technology; Jia Li, exemplary individual and gold medal commentator of Beijing; Professor Wang Jun, Public Education and Exhibition Interpretation Researcher and Gold Medal Lecturer at the Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, as well as two outstanding science popularization and communication teachers from The Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture (MCGALA), have served as members of the judging panel for this competition. 

Since the recruitment of the competition, it has attracted many young people to actively sign up. From the audition to the final, the young contestants have been fiercely competing and overcoming obstacles. In the end, 9 young contestants stood out and advanced to the finals.

From the magical world of flora and fauna, to complex ecosystems, and even to the wonderful laws of nature, the young contestants have used vivid and interesting language and vivid images to demonstrate the magical and colorful scientific world in their youth vision, showcasing the youthful charm of young people.

The judges have provided targeted comments and summaries on the explanation content. After fierce competition, 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 4 third prizes were finally awarded.

After the finals, the judging panel has awarded certificates of honor to the award-winning contestants and taken a group photo as a souvenir.

The "Garden in My Heart Beijing" Science Popularization Explanation Competition Achieved Excellent Results

At the beginning of the second Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture (MCGALA) Youth Science Popularization and Explanation Competition, the "My Garden Beijing" Science Popularization and Explanation Competition was held by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Greening.

With a beautiful expectation for a garden city and a passion for scientific exploration, the selected garden lecturers from The Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture (MCGALA) have won one first prize, two second prizes, one excellent prize, and three most promising prizes in the "My Garden Beijing" science popularization and explanation competition.
